These applications are downloaded managed controls running on your machine. They do not require any special security permissions, that is why they run off the Internet with your default Internet/Intranet security policy.
Please note that these sample applications are just proofs of concept, they are not of commercial strength and they have certain known and deliberate limitations. Please refer to use terms and conditions in a link provided on the bottom.
If you see small empty box with a dot inside that probably means you don't
have a .NET runtime installed on the machine. Another reason
might be that you are running v1.0 of the runtime with locked down
Internet policy. In this case or in order to enable full functionality
on any version of the runtime you will want to change it to give this
application Intranet level of trust, for example by doing this:
caspol -ag 1.3 -url http://www.dotnetthis.com/Samples LocalIntranet
It is recommended that you have a
retail version of the runtime installed in order to process larger files
faster.
